Head of Reception

Head of Reception
Location: Trevarefabrikken, Henningsvær, Norway
Type: Full-Time (80-100% position with seasonal variations)
Start: Ideally September - October 2025, with some flexibility
About Trevarefabrikken
Trevarefabrikken is a vibrant cultural space in Henningsvær, Lofoten - a place where people gather to enjoy food, music, nature, community, and culture under one roof. Set in a renovated carpentry and cod liver oil factory, we’ve created a home for a hotel, café, restaurant, bar, yoga studio, sauna, and a lively event space.
We operate with a small, tight-knit year-round team that grows significantly during the summer season. Everyone pitches in where needed, and we value collaboration, initiative, and the ability to adapt.
The Role: Head of Reception
We’re looking for a Head of Reception who is enthusiastic about hospitality and thrives in a place where no two days are the same. This role combines guest hosting, booking management, systems admin and customer communication - not only for the hotel, but for the wider Trevarefabrikken experience. This includes sauna, yoga classes, TrevareTur (our ski touring concept), the restaurant and bar, B2B events and our cultural offerings.
You’ll be a key point of contact from the moment someone books to the moment they leave - whether it’s a solo traveler on a yoga retreat, a couple coming for a calm autumn weekend, or a group of friends visiting for live music and dancing late into the night.
You’ll also support our housekeeping and breakfast teams, and work closely with the rest of the Trevare team to make sure everything flows. In this small and collaborative setting, you may occasionally take on light maintenance or general support tasks, depending on what’s needed that day.
This is an 80–100% full-time position, with a workload that naturally follows the rhythm of the seasons. Summer and ski season are our busiest times, with more hands-on hours and activity, while quieter months allow more flexibility and planning time. Please note that Trevarefabrikken is usually closed from mid-December until the end of January.
This is a role where you can truly contribute to shaping the guest experience and improving how we work. If you’re someone with ideas and the drive to implement them, there is plenty of room to leave your mark.
